SteelSeries Rival Pro Mini Gaming Mouse Appears with UWB Technology

SteelSeries, a manufacturer of gaming components, has registered its forthcoming Rival Pro and Rival Pro Mini gaming mice with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). These registrations indicate that the mice will support Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology, enabling precise wireless connectivity.

Both the Rival Pro and its smaller counterpart, the Rival Pro Mini, will be equipped with swappable 310mAh battery modules. The wireless base station will also serve as a charger for the spare batteries, ensuring continuous operation during gaming sessions. This design, coupled with UWB technology, suggests a reliable and responsive connection for gamers.

Technical specifications include an NXP LPC5528JBD64 MCU as the main controller and a TrueMove 30K sensor. The mice are capable of a 9000 Hz wireless polling rate and an 8000 Hz sensor report rate, indicating high performance for demanding gaming applications.
