Stefano Cantino Appointed CEO of Gucci

Kering announced on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the appointment of Stefano Cantino as the new CEO of Gucci, effective January 1, 2025. Cantino, who joined Gucci as Deputy CEO in May 2024, will report to Francesca Bellettini, Kering's Deputy CEO in charge of Brand Development.

Cantino brings extensive experience from the luxury sector, having previously spent five years at Louis Vuitton overseeing Communications and Image. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility within the Prada Group for two decades, focusing on Marketing and Commercial roles.

He succeeds Jean-François Palus, who was appointed CEO of Gucci in July 2023. Palus's mandate was to establish the foundations for Gucci's next phase and to recruit key talents, including his successor.

François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, expressed gratitude to Palus for his contributions during a transitional period, noting that Palus made necessary decisions and built a solid base for Gucci's renewed success under Cantino's leadership.
