Stellantis Opens U.S. Orders for $13,995 Fiat Topolino EV
Stellantis has begun accepting orders in the U.S. for the 2026 Fiat Topolino electric vehicle. The car's low starting price comes with notable limitations on its use.

Automaker Stellantis has opened U.S. order books for its 2026 Fiat Topolino electric vehicle, with a starting price of $13,995. The microcar aims to offer an affordable electric option, though its initial capabilities are restricted.
The Fiat Topolino is a small, urban-focused EV designed in a style common to micro-vehicles in Italy and Japan. It will be available in two configurations: a standard version with a hardtop and doors, and the Dolcevita variant featuring a roll-back soft top and rope "doors."
At its base price of $13,995, the Fiat Topolino is limited to 19 mph (30 km/h). This speed restricts its legal operation to private property, such as gated communities and resorts, rendering it unsuitable for public roads.
To make the microcar street-legal, Stellantis is offering an optional Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) conversion kit for $990. This kit will increase the Topolino's top speed to 25 mph (40 km/h), allowing it to be driven on public roads with speed limits of 35 mph (56 km/h) or less. While not suitable for highway travel, the LSV-equipped Topolino could serve as a niche transportation solution in dense urban environments with low speed limits and limited parking.
