Stellantis (Shanghai) Automotive Co., Ltd. has announced a recall affecting 17,360 imported Giulia and Stelvio vehicles produced from January 19, 2017, to July 30, 2019. The recall is being initiated due to a potential defect with the low-pressure fuel pump.

The identified issue stems from a design characteristic where the low-pressure fuel pump may not adequately supply fuel. In severe cases, this could lead to the engine stalling while the vehicle is in operation, posing a safety risk.

Stellantis will replace the affected vehicles' fuel pumps and fuel pump control modules with improved components free of charge to address the safety concern. The recall campaign number is S2026M0072V.

The company has filed the recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, adhering to regulations concerning defective automotive products in China.
