Stellantis Unveils Jeep Wrangler Scrambler SRT Concept

Stellantis has unveiled the Jeep Wrangler Scrambler SRT, a concept vehicle that blends the aesthetic of the classic CJ-8 Scrambler with high-performance engineering. This marks the first time an SRT badge has been applied to a Jeep concept specifically designed for high-speed desert driving.

Technically, the vehicle introduces an independent front suspension to the Wrangler platform—a departure from traditional solid-axle designs. Developed in collaboration with off-road racer Casey Currie, the suspension is intended to increase wheel control and stability at high speeds. The design draws on technology validated in recent desert racing competitions.

The vehicle's architecture includes a modified chassis, a structural roll cage, and an integrated pickup bed. It also features a unique seating system that allows the rear seats to be removed or flipped to accommodate cargo, highlighting a focus on utility. According to Tim Kuniskis, head of American Brands and SRT Performance at Stellantis, the project was intended to explore the limits of open-air off-road performance.

While the Scrambler SRT serves as a showcase for potential future engineering directions, the company has not announced plans for a production version of this specific design.
