Stellic Names Finalists in Student App Design Challenge
Stellic has selected three finalists in a competition for student-designed apps aimed at removing barriers to degree completion. The winner was announced at the Stellic Summit in Philadelphia.

Stellic, a provider of academic planning and degree management software, has announced the winners of its Pathfinders Challenge. The competition invited college students to design and build apps to address obstacles they encounter in higher education, drawing 169 submissions from across North America and Australia.
A panel of judges reviewed the submissions based on problem identification, potential impact, originality, and execution. Three finalist teams presented their applications live at Stellic's fifth annual Partner Summit in Philadelphia before an audience of university leaders.
First place was awarded to Nathan Wituk from the University of Kansas for "Dormant," an app designed to help students discover campus events and reduce screen time. "Flightplan," developed by Colleen Zhang, Oliver Gan, and Alex Zhong, offers personalized career planning and visa guidance for international students. "Vivifi," by Rachael Chung, transforms course syllabi into interactive grade calculators.
Prize money totaling thousands of dollars was awarded to the finalist teams. Stellic's platform is used by over 100 higher education institutions and more than 2 million students globally, aiming to streamline degree progress and enhance student engagement.
