Stena RoRo orders new E-Flexer vessels from CMI Weihai

Stena RoRo has placed an order for two E-Flexer 2.0 RoPax vessels with China Merchants Shipbuilding Industry (CMI) Weihai in China, on behalf of Stena Line. The order includes an option for two more vessels, continuing a decade-long partnership between the companies.

These new vessels represent the next generation in the E-Flexer series, which is designed for flexibility and cost efficiency across a variety of ferry routes worldwide. The current E-Flexer series comprises 17 vessels, and these new additions are expected to offer enhanced capacity for both passengers and cargo.

Stena RoRo is responsible for the design and construction management of the vessels. While specific delivery timelines and route assignments were not disclosed, the order signifies an investment in modernizing Stena Line's fleet. The E-Flexer concept aims to provide efficient and adaptable ferry solutions to meet evolving market demands.
