Stephan Walder Appointed New Head of HR at PORR AG
Stephan Walder will become the new Head of Human Resources at PORR AG, effective February 1, 2011. He previously served as Head of Human Resources at Casinos Austria AG.
PORR AG has appointed Stephan Walder, 45, as its new Head of Human Resources. The appointment is effective February 1, 2011.
Walder joins PORR from Casinos Austria AG, where he held the position of Head of Human Resources. His previous experience includes roles at other significant companies such as Mondi Business Paper Group, Tarbuk AG, and Jenbacher Werke.
Karl-Heinz Strauss, CEO of PORR AG, welcomed the appointment, stating: "We are pleased to have gained an proven expert in change processes for our company." Strauss emphasized the critical role of employees, particularly during reorganization, and expressed confidence that Walder will provide valuable impetus for the group's internationalization.
Walder highlighted the importance of human capital in the construction sector. "The construction business is not driven by machines; the real capital is the employees," he stated. He noted that PORR already possesses well-trained staff and that the focus will now be on preparing them for the company's increasing international expansion.
