Collectors have long shown significant interest in Steve Jobs memorabilia, and a new item is set to enter the auction market: a science exhibit project Jobs created during his eighth-grade year.

Completed on February 29, 1968, and titled "What is a SCR?", the project includes a display board, two demonstration circuits, a 10-page report, and circuit diagrams drawn by Jobs. It has remained in the Jobs family's property in Los Altos and is now one of over 200 items featured in an auction celebrating Apple's 50th anniversary.

This follows the first part of the auction, where Apple's very first check sold for $2.4 million. The second part, featuring Jobs's early work, is expected to draw substantial bids.

Included with the project is a safety warning from Jobs to the judges, instructing them to unplug the circuits after use, possibly due to fire risks associated with prolonged operation. This detail highlights an early awareness of electrical safety.

While current online bids are under $3,000, the final sale price for this historical piece is anticipated to increase significantly.
