StimCardio Wearable Device Reduces Recurrent Atrial Fibrillation Post-Ablation

A non-invasive wearable neuromodulation device developed by StimCardio has demonstrated a significant reduction in recurrent atrial fibrillation events after ablation therapy, according to findings from the company's NeuroPulse study.

The study, presented as late-breaking clinical science at HRX Live 2026 and simultaneously published in Heart Rhythm, found that 90% of participants were free from atrial arrhythmias at six months using neuromodulation, compared to 80.8% in the sham-controlled group. The results are based on a randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled trial.

StimCardio's technology utilizes a wearable device to deliver neuromodulation, a therapeutic approach aimed at influencing nerve activity to manage arrhythmias. The study specifically focused on preventing the recurrence of atrial fibrillation, the most common type of heart arrhythmia, after ablative procedures.

These findings are notable as recurrent atrial fibrillation following ablation remains a clinical challenge. The non-invasive nature of this approach could offer patients a more comfortable and less risky option for ongoing management.

StimCardio aims to provide a novel therapeutic option for managing atrial fibrillation, potentially improving patient quality of life and reducing healthcare burdens.
