The transition specifically targets the production of fiber products. STL indicated that carbon emissions for G.657.A2 Fiber are projected to decrease by approximately 80%, from 4.7 kg to 0.9 kg per unit. Furthermore, the company intends to shift to using 100% green hydrogen in its manufacturing processes within India.
STL, formerly known as Sterlite Technologies, is a global technology company providing network solutions for telecom operators, cloud providers, and other technology firms. This announcement aligns with broader industry trends pushing for more sustainable manufacturing practices as environmental concerns grow.
