STL Wins European Patent Dispute Against Fujikura

Global technology solutions provider STL announced a decisive victory in its European patent dispute with Fujikura Ltd. On June 24, 2026, the European Patent Office's (EPO) Technical Board of Appeal issued a final, binding decision revoking Fujikura's European Patent EP 3796060 in its entirety.
The ruling also resolves a UK patent dispute between the parties in STL's favor. STL, known for providing connectivity solutions for AI-ready digital infrastructure, has built a robust patent portfolio spanning major global markets over decades. The company emphasizes its active and ongoing defense of its intellectual property rights.
The outcome strengthens STL's market position in optical connectivity across the UK and Europe. It also underscores the company's capability to vigorously defend its global patent portfolio in markets including North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.
