Student Enrollment Declines at Flensburg Higher Education Institutions
Flensburg's two primary academic institutions have welcomed approximately 2,300 new students this autumn. Data indicates a drop in enrollment at Europa-Universität Flensburg.

Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) has reported a decline in student enrollment for the current winter semester. The total number of students at the university now stands at 5,500, a decrease of 300 compared to the previous year. New student intake has also fallen from approximately 1,600 to 1,500.
Conversely, the Hochschule Flensburg reports stable enrollment figures, although the formal registration process is still ongoing. The institution has currently registered 800 new students for the academic session.
The winter term began in mid-September for both institutions. The shift in numbers highlights ongoing challenges regarding student recruitment at regional academic institutions.
