Studsvik CEO Karl Thedéen steps down; successor appointed for 2027
Studsvik AB has announced the immediate resignation of CEO Karl Thedéen, with CFO Peter Teske serving as interim leader until Stefan Håkansson takes the helm in February 2027.
Studsvik AB has confirmed that CEO Karl Thedéen has resigned from his position effective immediately. In the interim, Peter Teske, who has served as the company's Chief Financial Officer since 2024, will assume the role of interim President and CEO.
The company has appointed Stefan Håkansson as the permanent successor. Håkansson is scheduled to take over the position in February 2027, a timeline dictated by his existing notice period at his current employer, Öresundskraft. The appointment remains subject to standard regulatory clearances.
The leadership transition is intended to provide stability during the interim period while allowing for a handover process. The board has cited the notice period as a standard requirement for senior executive movements within the Swedish corporate sector.
