Subaru Launches Limited WRX and BRZ Anniversary Editions

Subaru of America revealed limited-production 2027 anniversary editions of its WRX and BRZ sports cars at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania. The WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 models honor the chassis codes of their respective vehicles' U.S. market debuts 25 and 15 years ago.

These enthusiast-focused models feature heritage-inspired exterior color schemes and performance Subaru accessories. The 2027 WRX GD25 pays homage to the first WRX to arrive in the U.S. in 2002, identified by its "GD" chassis code. It is exclusively painted in World Rally Blue, equipped with gold 19-inch alloy wheels, Brembo brakes, and a dry carbon fiber rear wing from Subaru Tecnica International (STI).

Production for the WRX GD25 is capped at 350 units. It will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission and is slated for delivery in summer 2027. The WRX is powered by a 271-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine and Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

The 2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 celebrates the first-generation BRZ, which arrived in 2012 on a "ZC" chassis. This special edition is offered exclusively in Ceramic White paired with matte bronze wheels and red Brembo calipers. Only 300 units of the BRZ ZC15 will be produced, with deliveries expected in early 2027. The BRZ features a 228-horsepower, 2.4-liter SUBARU BOXER engine and a rear-wheel-drive configuration, exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.
