Subaru Trailseeker Propulsion System Named to Wards 10 Best List

Subaru of America, Inc. announced its electric SUV, the Trailseeker, has been recognized on the 2026 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems list. The award comes in the vehicle's first year on the market.

WardsAuto judges evaluated 26 powertrains, assessing factors including power, torque, refinement, efficiency, and innovation. They specifically praised the Trailseeker's smooth operation, range, and acceleration capabilities.

"The ultimate sleeper? Subaru's Trailseeker looks unassuming, yet powers through traffic like a muscle car," said Robin Warner, WardsAuto Judge. "Its 375 horsepower combined with immediate electric powertrain response always satisfies. Its range estimates also hold up well in real-world driving..."

The Subaru Trailseeker, which went on sale in early 2026 with a starting MSRP of $39,995, features dual electric motors producing 375 combined horsepower, Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and an estimated range of up to 281 miles. The vehicle includes a 74.7-kWh battery and a standard NACS charge port, enabling charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes with a 150 kW DC-fast charger.
