SunLED Life Science Launches Near-Infrared Light Device in US
SunLED Life Science has launched its SunBooster device in the US, aiming to bring the beneficial near-infrared light spectrum of sunlight indoors.
SunLED Life Science, based in New York and Amsterdam, has announced the US market entry of its SunBooster device. The product is designed to restore the health and wellness benefits of natural sunlight, specifically near-infrared (NIR) light, during indoor activities.
The SunBooster device attaches to computer monitors and tablets. Its technology is claimed to be scientifically shown to boost energy and support overall well-being. The device emits NIR light, which is absent in standard indoor lighting, to users over two to four-hour periods while they work or engage with digital screens.
The product is now available in the US online for $249 and is also sold on Amazon. It is expected to be available at the tm:rw store in New York City by the end of July. The device has already received multiple recognitions, including TIME Magazine's "2025 Best Inventions" mention.
According to SunLED Life Science, individuals spend up to 90% of their waking hours indoors, missing out on NIR light, which has been linked to various health benefits. The company suggests its technology can help counteract health issues associated with indoor living, such as fatigue and mood decline.
