Suno has launched Studio 2.0, enhancing its AI music generation platform with MIDI support, the ability to create custom effect plugins, and other professional DAW-like features.
Suno has officially released Studio 2.0, a significant upgrade that moves its AI-powered music creation platform closer to a full digital audio workstation (DAW).
The most notable addition is MIDI support, a highly requested feature. Users can now feed MIDI data into the AI as a prompt, allowing it to extend compositions or generate new sections based on existing MIDI input. Studio 2.0 also introduces automation capabilities for adjusting track panning and volume throughout a song.
An integrated chatbot can generate lyrics or suggest new instrumental parts. This AI assistant analyzes the project's musical content to suggest improvements, such as adding effects to audio tracks. The update also includes new built-in effects like distortion, delay, reverb, compression, and EQ.
Furthermore, users can now create their own custom effect plugins using AI, ranging from unique reverbs to compressors and chorus effects. These custom effects are saved to the user's account for later use.
With these enhancements, Suno Studio 2.0 offers more advanced functionality, with AI-driven features potentially reducing manual tasks for users in areas like mixing and effect selection.
