Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Company has significantly expanded its mineral rights holdings in Idaho's Silver Valley, bringing its total consolidated land position to approximately 38,000 acres. This represents a 60% increase in the company's land footprint in the region.
Concurrent with the land acquisition, the company has initiated a comprehensive, multi-year exploration program totaling 45,000 meters of drilling. The program is designed to identify new silver deposits and enhance the company's resource base.
The company, which focuses on advancing silver production in the United States, announced the expansion and the commencement of the exploration initiative on September 21, 2026.
This strategic expansion of its landholdings is expected to provide new opportunities for Sunshine Silver's mining operations and support its objective to grow domestic silver output.
