Supermicro Delivers NVIDIA Vera Rubin Racks with Liquid Cooling
Super Micro Computer, Inc. has begun delivering new NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks. These high-performance computing systems are integrated with the company's Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) and utilize direct liquid cooling.
Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI), a provider of complete IT solutions, announced it is now delivering NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 racks. These systems integrate Supermicro's Data Center Building Block Solutions (DCBBS) with the company's direct liquid cooling stack (DLC-2).
The delivery addresses the significant power and cooling demands of large-scale AI deployments. Supermicro states its comprehensive liquid cooling solution, from coldplates through CDUs to cooling towers, accelerates "time-to-online" for these advanced computing platforms. The company emphasizes that this end-to-end integration is crucial for efficiently managing the heat generated by AI workloads.
The company's DCBBS Blueprints define a balanced bill of materials for power profiles ranging from 5 MW to gigawatts, incorporating 1,152 NVIDIA Rubin GPUs and 331 TB of HBM4 memory per scalable unit. Supermicro offers full project management, including site survey, design, integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
Charles Liang, President and CEO of Supermicro, highlighted the company's years of investment in liquid cooling infrastructure and manufacturing capacity. He stated that customers can now order production-ready systems with complete integration, as Supermicro designs and builds every layer from the coldplate to the cooling tower. The company believes its direct liquid cooling technology differentiates it in the rapidly evolving AI compute market.
