Supermicro Launches New Servers Featuring AMD EPYC 9006 Series CPUs
Super Micro Computer, Inc. announced its new H15 server portfolio, powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC™ 9006 Series CPUs. The new systems provide significant performance improvements for demanding computational tasks.

San Jose, California – Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMCI) has unveiled its next-generation H15 server portfolio, powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC™ 9006 Series CPUs. These new systems are optimized for next-generation GPUs, including AMD Instinct™, and interconnected via AMD Pensando™ networks. A key feature of the new processors is up to 256 cores and 512 threads, addressing the growing computational demands of cloud, enterprise, storage, high-performance computing (HPC), and AI workloads.
The performance sees an uplift of up to 1.7x compared to the previous generation. The systems offer 33% more cores, double the PCIe bandwidth, and 2.6x more memory bandwidth. These advancements enable customers to run more AI agents simultaneously, accelerate enterprise applications, and maximize host node performance while managing power consumption.

According to AMD, the combination of the latest AMD EPYC processors, Instinct GPUs, and Pensando networking technology with Supermicro's modular server and rack-scale designs allows customers to deploy their AI infrastructure faster, while improving utilization, reducing power consumption, and lowering total cost of ownership.
The H15 portfolio includes several specialized systems designed for various deployments. These include the Hyper platform for enterprise applications and AI, CloudDC for cloud-scale environments, GrandTwin® and FlexTwin™ solutions for high-density storage and scalable services, and Petascale Storage and SuperBlade® solutions for dense computing and storage needs.
