Susanne Raupbach Appointed Co-Managing Director at EURO Kartensysteme GmbH

Susanne Raupbach has been appointed as the second Managing Director of EURO Kartensysteme GmbH (EKS), a company she joined in 2019. Raupbach, who previously headed the legal department and oversaw the development of the girocard payment system, will now also be responsible for the HR, Facility Management, IT, and accounting departments.

"My goal is to develop structures and processes so that our externally facing operational departments receive optimal support," Raupbach stated. She specifically highlighted the importance of HR and IT for efficient workflows. "When we are well-positioned in these areas and internal support functions smoothly, EKS as a whole can reach its full potential."

Raupbach also emphasized her focus on fostering a strong corporate culture. She aims to create a work environment where both long-term employees and new hires feel valued and integrated. "It's important to see the people behind the positions – their individual perspectives, values, and ideas," she said.

Regarding the future of girocard, Raupbach mentioned the upcoming introduction of installment payment capabilities, for example, for hotel bookings. The company aims to ensure the card's continued competitiveness in both physical and digital forms by integrating new technologies and innovations to remain a reliable partner in the payment sector.
