SV SparkassenVersicherung adopts ARTEC IT Solutions for email archiving
Insurance provider SV SparkassenVersicherung has implemented the EMA solution by ARTEC IT Solutions to automate compliant, long-term email storage across its regional offices.
SV SparkassenVersicherung, one of Germany's largest regional insurers, has transitioned from manual email filing to a centralized, automated archiving system. Previously, the company's 5,000 employees managed email storage manually, which hindered searchability and consistency in compliance with regulatory standards.
Managed by IT service provider SV Informatik GmbH, the project aimed to streamline the archive process without requiring individual employee intervention. The company evaluated various internal development options and external providers before selecting EMA by ARTEC IT Solutions, citing its scalability and technical integration capabilities.
Dirk Preuschoff-Porzelt, head of printing and communication services at SV Informatik, noted that the solution was chosen for its ability to integrate with existing LDAP protocols and its minimal impact on email system performance. The implementation was completed in under one business day.
The new system now provides a fully automated, legally compliant archive for all incoming and outgoing correspondence. It also includes features for the automated deletion of data after the mandatory ten-year retention period.
