Svenska Aerogel reports 35 percent sales increase

Svenska Aerogel Holding AB announced on May 8, 2025, a significant increase in sales for the first quarter of 2025.

The company's net sales for the period January-March 2025 amounted to SEK 1.4 million, up from SEK 0.5 million in the same period last year. Rolling 12-month sales grew by 35 percent compared to the full year 2024. This growth is attributed to an increasing number of customers moving into the ramp-up phase towards commercialization.

Key events during the quarter included an order for two tons from a manufacturer of thermal insulation solutions for outdoor products. Dekro Paints (Pty) Ltd is preparing a new fire protection paint for certification, and Belcor® has developed safety solutions for electric vehicle batteries. A rights issue raised approximately SEK 24.6 million before issue costs.

Following the reporting period, the company received a container order from new customers in the construction and real estate segment.

Cost of goods sold was SEK 3.7 million. EBITDA for the quarter was a negative SEK 6.6 million, an improvement from a loss of SEK 8.9 million in the prior year. Total assets stood at SEK 66.8 million as of March 31, 2025, down from SEK 76.5 million at the end of 2024. Cash and cash equivalents were SEK 0.5 million.
