Swedish Authorities Approve Sectra's Stationary Phone for SECRET-Level Information
Sectra's new stationary phone model has received approval from Swedish authorities to handle information classified as SECRET. The device enables secure communication of classified data between and within government agencies.
Swedish technology and cybersecurity firm Sectra has obtained approval from Swedish authorities for its stationary Sectra Tiger/S phone. The device is now cleared for communication of information classified at the SECRET level, allowing for the exchange of highly sensitive data between and within government agencies. The approval also includes conference call functionality.
The SECRET classification applies to information where unauthorized disclosure could harm national security. Such information requires communication solutions that meet stringent security requirements and are resilient against future technological advancements. Sectra states that the new solution fulfills these highest security standards.
The new stationary phone is part of the Sectra Tiger/S product family, which also includes a mobile version. The mobile model already holds approvals from national security authorities, the EU, and NATO for use up to the SECRET classification level. The stationary version further enables conference calls, and communication can seamlessly occur between the stationary and mobile units.
According to the company, this new approval underscores Sectra's capability to deliver reliable communication solutions for critical environments. The conference call feature of the stationary phone is designed to enhance efficiency and security in governmental collaboration.
