Swedish Infrastructure Minister Visits Jula Logistics in Falköping

On June 3, Swedish Infrastructure Minister Andreas Carlsson visited Jula Logistics' facility located in Marjarp, Falköping. The discussions during the visit centered on the ongoing electrification of transport, the development of the West Main Line (Västra stambanan) railway, and future sustainable logistics solutions.
Jula Logistics operates as Sweden's largest inland port (dryport) for container handling. The company emphasized the critical importance of investments in the West Main Line to enhance and sustain efficient and environmentally friendly transportation flows throughout Western Sweden and the entire nation.
"The Port of Gothenburg plays a central role in the Swedish logistics system, and our dryport in Falköping represents a vital link in the transport chain. The connection to the West Main Line facilitates efficient and climate-smart transport between the inland and the port," stated Lennart Karlsson, CEO of Jula Logistics.
The visit also highlighted the electrification of the transport sector and the logistics industry's contribution to sustainable development. Jula Logistics presented its efforts in developing efficient and climate-conscious transport solutions for both internal and external logistics. The company is developing one of Sweden's most modern logistics hubs in Falköping, integrating rail, road, and warehousing to create efficient and sustainable flows through intermodal transportation.
