Sweet Robo and ICEE Partner on Automated Cotton Candy Machines
Robotics firm Sweet Robo has partnered with ICEE's exclusive licensee, Santa Cruz Fun Foods, to launch automated cotton candy machines offering popular ICEE flavors. The first 100 units are slated for deployment this summer.
Sweet Robo, a company specializing in automated confectionery robotics, has launched a new line of automated cotton candy machines in collaboration with Santa Cruz Fun Foods, the exclusive licensee for ICEE Cotton Candy.
The machines transform ICEE's signature flavors into freshly spun cotton candy through a robotic, self-service process. The first shipment of 100 machines is expected to be dispatched by the end of June, with commercial deployments planned across North America in retail, entertainment, and high-traffic venues.
The launch includes two machine models: a fully automated vending unit for locations like malls and amusement parks, and a compact countertop model for convenience stores and smaller retailers. Both models will feature a selection of ICEE's popular flavors.
This partnership aligns with a growing trend of established consumer brands utilizing automation to enhance customer experiences and explore new retail channels. Initial installations are anticipated to appear in customer locations during Summer 2026.
