SWFI releases watchlist of 3,000 startups for I20 summit
The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute has compiled a list of nearly 3,000 startups valued at over $100 million to connect founders with institutional capital.
The Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI) has unveiled its "I20 Future 100 Watchlist," a directory of nearly 3,000 startups spanning 54 countries and 50 investment themes. The list identifies companies with a minimum valuation of $100 million, curated specifically for sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and major institutional allocators.
Ahead of the inaugural I20 Summit in Miami this December, SWFI will select 100 founders from this pool to present on the main stage. The criteria for inclusion involve a mix of proprietary research and data from recognized industry lists, requiring that companies remain independently owned and operated with valuations not exceeding $5 billion.
SWFI CEO Michael Maduell stated that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between proven enterprises and the global capital stack. The institute aims to attract $5 trillion in long-term institutional capital to the United States through this summit series. The I20 event is an independent project and holds no official affiliation with the G20 or the U.S. government.
