Varia US Properties AG, a Swiss-based investor in the U.S. multifamily sector and a majority-owned entity of SWI Group, has entered into a definitive agreement with affiliates of Brookfield Asset Management. The partnership focuses on the company's U.S. multifamily portfolio.
Under the terms of the agreement, Brookfield will make a significant investment into Varia US Properties' existing real estate assets. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The partnership is expected to support Varia US Properties' growth strategy, which involves acquiring and managing multifamily properties across the United States. The company is externally managed by Stoneweg, an SWI Group Company.
