SWI Group raises €800 million for AI infrastructure expansion

Euronext Amsterdam-listed SWI Group announced on October 12, 2026, that it has completed an €800 million capital increase with institutional investors. The fundraising was achieved through the issuance of new ordinary shares, increasing the total share capital to over 558 million shares. This brings the total equity raised since March 2026 to more than €1 billion.

The transaction is intended to accelerate the consolidation and expansion of SWI Group's transatlantic digital infrastructure and AI compute platform across Europe and the United States. The capital will support the development and scaling of the Group's data center and AI compute capacity, including power infrastructure and development projects on both continents.

The capital increase significantly strengthens SWI Group's balance sheet, providing additional financial capacity for its growth strategy. Investments will be directed towards AI development and increasing stakes in existing investments. The move also broadens the company's institutional shareholder base, enhances market liquidity, and increases the free float to approximately 20% of the share capital.

Max-Hervé George, Founder and CEO of SWI Group, stated that the transaction is crucial for keeping pace with the compute and data center markets. He highlighted the company's clear strategy, substantial pipeline, and strong position in Europe and the US, welcoming new investors who share the group's long-term ambition.
