Swiggy Narrows CREW Service to Travel
Indian technology company Swiggy has narrowed its CREW service to focus exclusively on travel. After a year of testing it as a broader concierge, Swiggy identified travel as the segment with the strongest demand.

Swiggy has officially pivoted its CREW service to focus solely on travel after more than a year of testing it as a wider concierge platform. The company initially offered a broad range of services, including restaurant reservations, errands, gift sourcing, locksmith assistance, and laundry.
According to Swiggy, travel generated the strongest demand during CREW's testing phase. The service, available via paid subscription or invitation, now offers comprehensive travel planning, booking, and in-trip assistance.
CREW can arrange flights and hotels, book taxis, assist with visas and foreign exchange, and make restaurant reservations and activity bookings. It leverages a partner network for hotel rates and local partners for destination services. Human concierges, supported by AI, are available 24/7 to handle customer requests.
While Swiggy has not disclosed details about its partnerships or fulfillment processes, the shift to travel allows CREW to manage multiple requests around a single customer's journey. This approach contrasts with competitors like MakeMyTrip and ixigo, which are heavily investing in AI-driven automation for travel planning and booking.
