Symrise, a supplier of cosmetic ingredients, has secured patent protection in China for its SymSave® H technology. The patent, granted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, covers aqueous cosmetic formulations that combine Hydroxyacetophenone with lipophilic components.
This protection strengthens Symrise's ability to offer customers an original ingredient technology in China, a significant global beauty market. The company stated that the patent aims to reinforce customer confidence in the ingredient's authenticity, consistent quality, and long-term availability.
SymSave® H, based on Hydroxyacetophenone first introduced by Symrise in 2013, is designed to provide antioxidant performance and soothing properties in cosmetic formulations. It also contributes to broad-spectrum product protection, aiding in product stabilization.
