System76 launches Thelio Prime compact desktop with AMD Ryzen 9000
System76 has released the Thelio Prime, an 11-liter compact desktop featuring AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors and support for discrete graphics.
Hardware manufacturer System76 has expanded its desktop lineup with the Thelio Prime. The unit features an 11-liter aluminum chassis with stainless steel accents and a tinted glass front panel, utilizing a magnetic foot design for flexible vertical or horizontal orientation.
Internally, the machine supports AMD Ryzen 9000 series processors and accommodates up to 96GB of dual-channel DDR5 memory. The motherboard includes dual M.2 SSD slots and is powered by a 600W unit, with additional capacity for discrete graphics cards from either AMD or Nvidia.
Connectivity options include 2.5Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2, alongside various USB-A and USB-C ports and an HDMI 2.1 output. The system arrives pre-loaded with either Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
The Thelio Prime is manufactured in the United States and carries a starting price of $1,599.
