Systemair secures first order for air handling units with R290 refrigerant technology
Systemair has signed a contract to supply its first Geniox HP DFN air handling units utilizing the natural refrigerant R290 for a project in Stockholm.

Systemair (NASDAQ Stockholm: SYSR) announced the receipt of its first order for air handling units featuring integrated heat pump technology and the natural refrigerant R290. The equipment is slated for installation at a construction project in Barkarbystaden, Stockholm.
The order represents a portion of an expanded supply agreement with E&E Ventilation. In addition to the Geniox HP DFN units, the contract includes the provision of Geniox Go HP units and smoke extraction fans. This delivery signifies a move by Systemair to integrate climate-friendly refrigerant standards into its primary ventilation hardware.
As regulatory frameworks tighten regarding synthetic refrigerants in HVAC systems, the adoption of R290 is becoming a standard shift within the industry. This project serves as a key deployment for Systemair’s current strategy to align its product catalog with sustainable energy requirements.
