SZMG Releases Documentary Series on Cross-Civilizational Encounters

Shenzhen Media Group (SZMG) has unveiled a new international documentary series titled "A World in Bloom" (A World in Bloom), coinciding with the third anniversary of the Global Civilization Initiative in 2026. The production team conducted extensive on-site filming across numerous countries in East Asia, Central Asia, and Europe.

The series aims to explore mutual learning and exchange among world civilizations through intimate, human-interest narratives. One featured story follows Alibi, a young man from Kazakhstan, who participated in a horse archery competition in China. For Alibi, the sport is a gateway to understanding different cultures and the wider world.

The documentary also highlights the experiences of young Chinese horse archers preparing for the same tournament. Beyond their competitive aspirations, they are working to introduce the traditional Chinese Guangqi-style horse archery format to an international audience.

"A World in Bloom" authentically documents these cross-cultural encounters, illustrating how sporting events can foster friendships and facilitate dialogue, revealing common ground beyond the competition itself.
