T-Systems Marks 25 Years as IT Services Pioneer and Multi-Cloud Provider
Deutsche Telekom's IT services arm, T-Systems, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The company has evolved from a pioneer in IT services to a provider of multi-cloud and AI solutions.
T-Systems, the IT services subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, is marking its 25th anniversary. Established on October 1, 2000, through the merger with debis Systemhaus, it became Germany's largest manufacturer-independent IT service provider.
The company's initial slogan, "Convergence is our business," highlighted its strategy of merging information technology and telecommunications, which laid the groundwork for services like cloud computing. Today, T-Systems operates as a multi-cloud provider, partnering with major technology firms including Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft.
T-Systems has expanded its client base beyond its automotive industry roots to serve diverse sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, transportation and logistics, retail, and the public sector. Key clients include Shell, Mercedes-Benz, and Deutsche Bahn.
Focused on the advancement of artificial intelligence, T-Systems is collaborating with NVIDIA to establish Europe's first industrial AI cloud in Germany. This initiative aims to provide German corporate customers with substantial computing power for AI applications by 2026.
