T-Systems MMS supports Polkadot blockchain

Deutsche Telekom's subsidiary T-Systems MMS will participate in the public blockchain network Polkadot as a validator, utilizing its infrastructure. The company has also acquired DOT tokens, the native currency of the Polkadot network, supporting interoperability between decentralized blockchain systems.

Polkadot aims to address the current lack of interoperability between individual blockchains, which often function as isolated data silos. Its central relay chain facilitates communication and coordination between various parallel networks, known as parachains, enabling secure and reliable message exchange between independent blockchains.

T-Systems MMS will employ its Open Telekom Cloud infrastructure for the secure operation of its validator nodes. This cloud service meets stringent European legal requirements for security and compliance, and its independent nature reinforces the decentralization and resilience of the Polkadot network.
