T-Systems uses AI to accelerate cloud transitions
Deutsche Telekom's IT division, T-Systems, has launched T-Systems @Vantage, a new AI-powered offering designed to speed up and improve the migration of companies to cloud environments.

T-Systems, the IT services arm of Deutsche Telekom, has introduced T-Systems @Vantage, a new modular offering that utilizes artificial intelligence to accelerate and improve the transition from legacy IT systems to the cloud. The service provides an end-to-end solution, encompassing advisory services, cloud migration, application modernization, and managed services.
The AI component analyzes application architectures and source code, automates programming language translation, documents applications, and conducts autonomous testing. This capability allows for the modernization of legacy systems that were previously considered too complex or costly to update. T-Systems claims businesses can achieve cost savings of up to 30 percent and complete updates up to 15 times faster.
The company emphasizes manufacturer-independent cloud infrastructure and software, combined with its own European cloud platforms, to ensure data sovereignty and regulatory compliance. This approach aims to address challenges where cloud migrations have not met expectations due to unforeseen complexity or efficiency gaps.
"Cloud computing is only successful when applications are modernized, not simply lifted and shifted to the cloud," stated Ferri Abolhassan, CEO of T-Systems. "The foundation for business success is consistent process automation combined with artificial intelligence."
