Tabby Launches AI Agent for Business Financial Management
AI startup Tabby has released Tabby Talk, an AI-powered accountant and CFO designed to assist small businesses and self-employed individuals with financial and tax matters.

AI startup Tabby has introduced its new tool, Tabby Talk, aimed at simplifying financial management for small businesses and freelancers. Launched on Monday, the service functions as an AI-powered accountant and chief financial officer, capable of tracking expenses and revenue, estimating taxes, managing outstanding invoices, and generating financial reports.
A core feature of Tabby Talk is its ability to handle financial inquiries using natural language. Users can ask questions about their company's financial status, and the AI will provide clear, plain-English responses. This update introduces agentic capabilities to the Tabby platform, which was launched in July 2025 and is currently used by over 6,000 small businesses.
Ahad Ali, CPA, co-founder and CEO of Tabby, who spent 10 years as an accountant for small businesses, observed that traditional accounting tools like QuickBooks were often difficult for individuals who are not professional bookkeepers. He identified a need for a more accessible solution to free business owners from tedious and complex accounting tasks.
According to Ali, Tabby Talk aims to alleviate the frustration many entrepreneurs experience when trying to understand their company's financial health. Instead of needing to sift through complex reports, the AI assistant can provide answers directly upon request. With over 36.2 million small businesses in the U.S. and millions more globally, there is a significant market for such tools.
