TacticalPay LLC Takes Full Ownership of Gun Store POS and Payments Provider

HOUSTON – TacticalPay, a provider of point-of-sale (POS) and payment systems for firearms dealers, now operates as an independent entity, TacticalPay LLC. On October 1, the new company took full ownership of the TacticalPay brand, website, products, and services. Co-founders Rich McIver, CEO, and Andy Hagans, President, plan to reinvest in the company's tap-to-pay, online, and POS payment products.
Serving FFL-licensed businesses since 2017, TacticalPay has historically grown through word-of-mouth referrals among gun shop owners. The company emphasizes user-friendly payment tools, with merchant applications typically approved within one to three business days by its in-house Texas-based team.
TacticalPay offers several solutions for in-person and online sales. Its Tap-to-pay software enables contactless payments via smartphone without a terminal, suitable for retail counters or gun shows. For e-commerce, the company provides a payment gateway for websites, GunBroker listings, and phone orders. Both entry-level plans are priced at $69 per month, with all-inclusive pricing available online.
For high-volume stores, TacticalPay POS offers a full-featured system that includes ATF-compliant electronic bound books and 4473 forms. The system also tracks serialized inventory and handles trade-ins, consignments, and gunsmithing services. The POS plan is priced at $199 per month, plus a one-time hardware bundle fee.
"We're putting everything we have into the firearms industry," said Andy Hagans, Co-Founder & President of TacticalPay LLC. "Most of our merchants found us through another gun shop owner. That tells us ease of use matters as much as features. At TacticalPay, we believe a new FFL should be approved and selling within days. And they should be able to understand what they're paying for credit card processing, without any hidden fees."
