Taiwan Launches Taiwan Weeks 2026 to Bolster Capital Market Integration
Financial regulators in Taiwan have opened the second annual Taiwan Weeks, aiming to position the nation as a key hub for asset management in Asia.

The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) of Taiwan launched the second annual "Taiwan Weeks" event in Taipei on Tuesday. The program gathers over 400 participants, including global exchange leaders and institutional investors, to discuss strategies for integrating Taiwan more closely into the global financial landscape.
FSC Chairman Peng Jin-lung identified a shift in Taiwan's economy, moving from a technology hub toward becoming a significant capital center. Recent data shows the TAIEX index rising to 45,000 points, with a total market capitalization of NT$158 trillion. Furthermore, Taiwan’s ETF market currently holds NT$11.6 trillion in assets, placing it third in the Asia-Pacific region.
The event runs through November 13, featuring 45 forums on topics including corporate governance, sustainable finance, and AI-driven investment opportunities. By hosting representatives from organizations such as Nasdaq, Bloomberg, and BlackRock, local authorities aim to foster cooperation between international capital and Taiwan’s industrial sector.
