Taiwan Tourism Administration Holds Workshops in US Cities
The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) launched a three-city workshop series in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The events aim to boost North American tourism by highlighting Taiwan's direct flight connectivity and diverse travel experiences.

The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) commenced its three-city U.S. workshop series on September 25, 2026, beginning in New York. The event drew over 70 representatives from the local travel industry and media. The delegation, comprising Taiwanese travel agencies, hotels, and airlines, continued to Chicago and Los Angeles, marking Taiwan's return to the Midwest market after a seven-year absence.
The initiative seeks to leverage Taiwan's robust air connectivity, with more than 200 weekly round-trip flights linking the destination to 13 major North American cities. In 2025, over 710,000 U.S. travelers visited Taiwan, with nearly 60% traveling for tourism, a record high for the destination.
Through its "Tourism Dual-Wheel Drive Program," the TTA is targeting repeat visitors, MICE travelers extending their stays for leisure, and incentive travelers. Repeat visitors accounted for 42.25% of all visitors to Taiwan in 2025, matching the pre-pandemic peak recorded in 2019.
The Administration is also promoting its "International Repeat Visitor Bonus Program" and "Transit Travel Incentive Program" to encourage American travelers to return, bring companions, and explore more of Taiwan. The New York workshop included cultural demonstrations such as Taiwanese opera and tea experiences to immerse attendees in the destination's culture and lifestyle.
