The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA) concluded its U.S. workshop series in Los Angeles on September 18, 2026, connecting nearly 70 Southern California travel professionals with Taiwan's tourism industry. This event marked the final stop of a three-city tour that also included New York and Chicago, aiming to facilitate business meetings and product discussions between Taiwanese and U.S. industry representatives.

According to TTA figures, over 710,000 visitors from the United States traveled to Taiwan in 2025, with a record high of nearly 60% visiting for tourism. The island's connectivity was emphasized, noting more than 200 weekly round-trip flights linking Taiwan to 13 major North American cities. "Taiwan offers visitors a unique balance of tradition and modernity," stated Jason Ma, Director General of the Taiwan Mission in Los Angeles. "We hope to continue strengthening tourism cooperation between Taiwan and the United States."

The workshops showcased Taiwan's "Never Sleep" concept, promoting experiences ranging from morning markets and breakfast culture to Michelin-recognized dining and night markets. New products focusing on nighttime exploration and sunrise excursions were also introduced. Vivian Lin, Director of the TTA's Los Angeles Office, expressed the goal of encouraging travelers to "stay longer, return to Taiwan and explore beyond their previous itineraries."

Repeat visitors accounted for 42.25% of international arrivals in 2025, matching pre-pandemic levels from 2019. To further encourage return visits, the TTA launched the "Return to Taiwan, Double Your Luck" program, offering eligible travelers a chance to win travel spending credits. The initiative aims to introduce visitors to new facets of Taiwan.
