Taiwan Weeks 2026 Launches to Strengthen Capital Market Ties
Taiwan has commenced its annual "Taiwan Weeks" conference, gathering global financial leaders to focus on developing the region as a hub for asset management.

Taiwan officially opened the 2026 "Taiwan Weeks" event on Tuesday, aiming to bolster its integration into global capital markets. The event, spearheaded by the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and key local stock exchanges, attracted over 400 international stakeholders, including institutional investors and representatives from global financial institutions.
The initiative is central to Taiwan's goal of becoming an Asian asset management hub. FSC Chairman Peng Jin-lung noted that the country’s strong foundation in semiconductor and AI industries has supported a significant rise in local market valuation, which currently stands at NT$158 trillion (US$5.03 trillion). Taiwan's ETF market is now the third-largest in the Asia-Pacific region.
Running through November 13, the schedule features over 45 forums focusing on financial regulatory reform, corporate governance, and sustainable investment. Panels include expertise from Nasdaq, BlackRock, and AllianceBernstein, addressing global investment trends and the role of data in the current economic landscape.
The series also highlights the "TiBOOST" growth program, designed to connect AI-focused startups with international venture capital, further diversifying the local financial ecosystem.
