Talos Energy reports third quarter results and raises 2026 guidance
Talos Energy exceeded third-quarter production targets, prompting an upward revision to its full-year 2026 guidance following the integration of new deepwater assets.

Houston-based Talos Energy reported operational results for the third quarter of 2026, with production reaching 68.5 thousand barrels of oil per day. This performance surpassed internal guidance, bolstered by consistent base business output and the integration of deepwater assets acquired from Shell in late September.
While the company recorded a net loss of $81.2 million, it generated an adjusted EBITDA of $406.1 million. Talos continued its capital return strategy, repurchasing shares valued at $23.6 million during the quarter. CEO Paul Goodfellow stated that the recent acquisition of Gulf of America assets has improved the company's margins and expanded its development portfolio, providing greater scale for long-term operations.
Reflecting these operational gains, Talos has increased its full-year 2026 production midpoint to 93.5 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day. Future priorities include the integration of newly acquired assets and the ongoing development of the Monument and Brutus projects, with production expected to commence for these initiatives in 2027.
