Tampa General Hospital Foundation Receives $5 Million Gift

The Tampa General Hospital Foundation has received a $5 million gift from philanthropists Frank and Carol Morsani. The funds are designated to enhance emergency services at TGH Brooksville.

This marks the first major philanthropic investment in TGH Brooksville since the hospital joined Tampa General's academic health system in 2023, alongside TGH Spring Hill and TGH Crystal River.

The Morsanis, long-time Brooksville residents, aim to inspire further investment in local hospitals to improve community access to essential care closer to home.

The donation is intended to directly support the future development of TGH Brooksville, facilitating new programs, technological advancements, and staff training. Tampa General highlighted this as a pivotal moment for the growth of its Hernando County hospitals to improve patient outcomes.
