Tamron has officially released the 16-50mm F2.8 zoom lens (Model B091), designed for APS-C mirrorless systems. The lens is currently available for Sony E and Canon RF mounts, with a retail price of 2,489 yuan.

The lens features an optical design consisting of 14 elements in 10 groups, maintaining a constant F2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range. It utilizes a VXD linear focus motor, which the manufacturer notes is suitable for both still photography and video recording. Additional physical features include moisture-resistant construction and an anti-fouling coating on the front lens element.

Technical specifications for the Sony version include a weight of 305 grams and a length of 79.6 mm. While the Sony E and Canon RF versions are available immediately, Tamron plans to expand availability with the Nikon Z mount arriving on November 19 and the Fujifilm X mount on December 17.
