Manufacturer Tamron is expected to launch its new full-frame lens, designated 12-20mm f/2.8 Di III VXD (model A084), on July 15. According to recent reports, the lens will be compatible with both Sony E and Nikon Z camera systems.
A key feature is the wide 12-20mm focal range combined with a constant f/2.8 aperture, making it suitable for wide-angle photography in various lighting conditions. The lens is said to employ Tamron's VXD autofocus motor and advanced optical elements, including XGM and GM aspherical lens elements.
Specifications for Tamron's new lens indicate a length of approximately 119.3 mm (Sony E) or 121.3 mm (Nikon Z) and a weight of around 570 grams (Sony E) or 585 grams (Nikon Z).
