Tanja Szewczenko Relocates Family to Romania

Former figure skater and actress Tanja Szewczenko has announced her family's relocation to Timișoara, Romania. She revealed on Instagram that the family's move to the country is now official and their new home has been found.

Szewczenko, known for her role in the German soap opera "Alles was zählt," cited a desire to escape what she called a "hamster wheel" lifestyle. She expressed hopes for a transition to a "self-determined, present life for the children." The decision was not sudden but resulted from months of planning and searching.

The family, including Szewczenko's husband Norman Jeschke and their three children, previously resided in Dubai, which will remain their secondary residence and a "place of strength." However, Timișoara will be their new permanent base. Szewczenko praised the city's residents and its affordable dining options.

Szewczenko previously lived in Germany, but the family had considered leaving the country three years prior. She also noted the city's rich German history, stemming from the Habsburg monarchy and the Banat Swabian heritage, as a factor in choosing Timișoara.
