Tanmiah and Tradewinds to Cooperate on Halal Protein in Malaysia

Saudi Arabia-based Tanmiah Food Company and Malaysian food firm Tradewinds (M) Berhad have established a framework for cooperation in the production, processing, and distribution of halal protein within Malaysia and the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), outlines potential joint ventures and export strategies. Tanmiah aims to leverage this partnership to increase its presence in APAC markets and bolster its goal of becoming a leading global halal protein provider.

Under the agreement, the companies will explore exporting Saudi-produced chicken products to Malaysia, co-investing in a local processing facility, and utilizing Malaysia as a regional hub for production and exports. The partnership also intends to develop a unified global brand for halal, sustainable, and healthy protein.

Tanmiah's Group CEO Zulfiqar Hamadani stated that Malaysia represents a strategic gateway to the APAC region for the company's growth. Tradewinds Group CEO Dennis Foo highlighted the complementary strengths of both organizations and a shared vision for advancing halal excellence.

The companies showcased their collaboration and products at MIHAS, offering tasting sessions of Tanmiah's award-winning product lines to attendees.
